John & Cam | A Romantic Country Wedding at Sorelle in Thomas, Oklahoma

I watched as he held back his tears. We all did. His beautiful bride was walking down the aisle. We all turned and looked, the light was perfect. She looked up at him and just glowed. She looked like an angel. As she got closer, everyone stood and admired her effortless beauty. Her groom couldn’t take his eyes off of her as a tear slowly trickled down his face. When her hands finally met his at the end of the aisle, he couldn’t help but look at her and smile. This was it.

John and Cam’s romantic ceremony at Sorelle was beautiful.  The sun was shining. The breeze was cool. There wasn’t a person in the crowd who wasn’t beaming with happiness for the newlyweds. John and Cam were truly surrounded by so much love. They chose to do a candle lighting ceremony. Both of their parents came up and lit one candle each. After a silent prayer amongst them all, John and Cam each took the candle their respective family lit and joined them together as one. The moment was soft and powerful. So much love filled the air as they became one. Shortly after, it was time to say ‘I do.’ In true Cam and John fashion, they pinkie promised it for life. And that was that, they were husband and wife.

The reception was one for the books. It might have been the air conditioning, or maybe the food, but there wasn’t a single person in that place that didn’t have a smile on their face. There was so much JOY! The s’more bar was a big hit. When we arrived after photos, there wasn’t much left of it. The music was good. The food was even better. Not going to lie, Dean, Cam’s Dad, can make a mean pulled pork sandwich. That paired with The Burlap Napkin’s veggie trays, beans, and potato salad… well that’s just a combination that’s hard to beat. Then came the dancing. And when I say dancing, I mean dancing. John and Cam’s nieces and nephews could d.a.n.c.e.!! There wasn’t a song that played without them tearing up that dance floor all. night. long. Even their fur babies, Edison and Frank, joined in. Their grand entrance, though, was for all the single ladies. I kid you not, as soon as Beyonce started to sing, those two were shakin’ it across that dance floor like that song was meant for them. It was the most darling thing I’ve ever seen!

John and Cam, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for allowing me the privilege to capture your day.  The both of you aren’t just our friends, but more like family and words can’t describe just how happy we are for the two of you. We wish you both all the happiness in the world as you start your forever together. So, PUT ‘EM UP for the NEW Mr. & Mrs. Boogaard!!!

Psst! Cam, how’s it feel? You’re officially* a coach’s wife. Watch outtt. 😉
