A Walnut Hill Farm wedding in Dalton, Georgia, is always special, but Brock and Dori’s celebration was truly unforgettable. This classic southern wedding told the story of two junior high sweethearts whose love has stood the test of time. Every detail, from the champagne bridesmaid dresses to the black-and-white checkered dance floor, reflected their timeless and intentional style.

A Love Story Rooted in Home
Brock and Dori’s journey began when she was in eighth grade and he was in seventh. Their first date was simple but sweet, and from that moment, their bond only grew stronger.
After years of dating through high school, Brock joined the Army. Despite long distances and countless challenges, their love endured. For three years, they navigated life apart, yet their connection never wavered.
When the time came to plan their wedding, Dalton was the only place that felt right. It’s where their love story started, and it’s where they wanted to begin their next chapter
The Proposal
On May 13th, 2023, Brock planned the perfect proposal while home on leave after completing military training. He told Dori they needed to stop at his family’s hunting land in Calhoun, Georgia, on their way to dinner.
What Dori didn’t know was that he had arranged a stunning setup of flowers and a carpet, creating the perfect spot to ask her to marry him. As he got down on one knee, their families waited nearby, ready to celebrate. It was a day filled with joy, love, and beautiful surprises.
Why Walnut Hill Farm?
Dori grew up attending ChristChurch Presbyterian, where her parents also married. Holding the ceremony there was deeply meaningful.
For their reception, Walnut Hill Farm was the natural choice. Not only did they grow up knowing the owners, but the venue’s charm felt like home. The combination of ChristChurch and Walnut Hill created a seamless and heartfelt experience for everyone involved.

The Ceremony
The ceremony at ChristChurch Presbyterian was as heartfelt as it was beautiful. Over 400 family members and friends filled the church to show their love and support.
Dori walked down the aisle surrounded by champagne-colored bridesmaid dresses from Bella Bridesmaids, designed by Alfred Sung. The one-shoulder style with a bow added a sophisticated touch. Brock, dressed in his Army uniform, stood proudly as she joined him at the altar.

Hill Farm Wedding Reception
Following the ceremony, guests headed to Walnut Hill Farm for an evening of celebration. A white sailcloth tent from T3 Event Rentals set the tone for an outdoor reception under the summer sky.

The décor featured a gold-and-white palette with lush greenery and elegant white florals, designed by Jean Dantzler Floral Design. Their family crest appeared throughout the design, adding a personal and meaningful touch. Gold accents on the table settings, provided by Glasswing Rentals, completed the sophisticated look.

The black and white checkered dance floor became the heart of the reception. Surrounded by soft seating from Prophouse Birmingham, guests danced the night away to the lively sounds of Million Dolla Man.
The couple’s cake was a stunning four-tier vanilla almond creation, designed to match the elegant décor. To ensure everyone enjoyed their favorite flavor, they also served sheet cake in the back.

Dinner was equally thoughtful and delicious. Guests enjoyed a plated meal filled with southern-inspired favorites, perfectly paired with hors d’oeuvres and refreshing drinks.
A Walnut Hill Farm Wedding Night to Remember
The evening ended in a way that was both patriotic and heartfelt. Guests waved American flags as fireworks lit up the sky, a nod to Brock’s service and their pride in their country.

Every detail of this Walnut Hill Farm wedding was carefully planned, from the floral designs to the family crest incorporated throughout the décor. The result was a day filled with emotion, love, and timeless southern charm.
Final Thoughts
Brock and Dori’s wedding was a testament to the beauty of small-town love stories. It was a day that honored family, community, and tradition while celebrating a love that has only grown stronger over time.
